Four things cleaning will not fix
Knowing the difference saves you money on a job that cannot work.
- 1
Traffic-lane wear: the fiber is physically abraded and untwisted. It will be clean, but it will still look different from the rest of the room.
- 2
Sun fading: the dye is gone. No cleaning process restores color.
- 3
Bleach and benzoyl peroxide spots: acne medication on a pillowcase, dropped on the floor, removes color. It can sometimes be re-dyed, but it cannot be cleaned out.
- 4
Delamination: the backing has separated and the carpet ripples or bubbles. That is a repair or a replacement, not a cleaning problem.
If something has gone past the point where this helps, that is what we are for — and if cleaning genuinely will not fix it, we will tell you that instead of selling you a job.
